主菜に格上げ be bumped up as a main dish


いただきます

あさごはんは、とり肉、
ナス、かぼちゃ、ピーマンの揚げびたしとりの酒蒸しときゅうりごはん
揚げびたしは通常野菜だけの副菜になりますが
とり肉が入ったときは、主菜に格上げされます

ごちそうさまでした

Let's eat.

I ate 
Agebitashi deep fried chicken and summer vegetables soaked in vinegar and soy sourcechicken steamed in sake Japanese alcohol and rice for breakfast.
Agebitashi with only some vegetables is served as a side dish usually.
But with chicken is bumped up as a main dish.
